THE ITALIAN BIRMAN CAT ASSOCIATION

A.I.Bir., the Italian Birman cat Association, recognised by Anfi, was founded in Rome (Italy) on 2007 and its main objectives are to promote the diffusion of this breed and to spread the information on the Birman cat. Also our aim is to organize events, such as breed special shows, meetings and conventions in Central and South Italy, a geographic area that is often neglected by many events organized by Anfi and Agabi. We don’t only aim at moving the barycentre of the Birman world towards Central Italy, but our main objective is to create a network of breeders as well as fanciers who share the wish to co-operate on a national basis (but foreign breeders are also welcome), in order to “export” the beauty of the Italian lines in the whole of Europe. We invite anyone who wishes to actively take part in this project, to contact us for any further information. Any ideas and suggestions for the development of this project will be very much appreciated.

Members: Chiara De Paolis BREED SPECIALS AND OTHER EVENTS Committee This Committee is responsible for the ideation as well as the organization of Breed Specials and other club events. Members: Marta Picciurro and Chiara De Paolis SCIENTIFIC Committee Its aim is the determination, the study and the discussion of scientific issues relevant to the Birman cat. Members: Dott.ssa Giorgia Mastrangelo FOREIGN RELATIONS Committee It manages the relations with other clubs and similar foreign associations . It spreads and promotes the information on club initiatives and activities in foreign countries. Members: Chiara de Paolis.
